According to the bridge bureau of the Ministry of construction, the construction progress of the new Dingyin bridge (also known as No. 3 Dingyin bridge) has reached the expected level and is expected to be completed next year (2022).

It is understood that the new Dingyin bridge across the Bogu River, 4 lanes, 2031 meters long, can withstand 75 tons and below freight cars, contracted by a Japanese company, is expected to cost 30 billion yen.

The bridge, which connects dajida and Dingyin Town, will start construction in March 2019. The project is divided into three parts at the same time. The third part is from dajida to wharf, the second part is from river to dajida, and the first part is from Dingyin to river. Among them, the construction progress of the first and second parts has reached 50%, and the construction progress of the third part has reached 80%.

Wu tunlin, leader of the engineering team of the Ministry of construction, said that the construction project was not affected by the (covid-19) epidemic. Although it encountered some difficulties, it still kept advancing. After completion, it will become an important road connecting Yangon city and dilova special economic zone.

It is understood that dilova special economic zone is located in Dingyin town opposite to dakida town. There is Bogu River between the two towns, which is connected by two old bridges (No.1 Dingyin bridge and No.2 Dingyin bridge). At present, due to the large flow of trucks, buses and private vehicles, the traffic is very congested. After the completion of the new bridge, this situation will be greatly improved, and it will be more convenient for citizens and trucks to travel between the urban area of Yangon and the special economic zones of Dingyin and dilova.
