According to the Myanmar port authority, in the past four years, 9 international standard berths have been added in Yangon and dilova regions of Yangon port, with a total of 41 international standard berths.

It is understood that Myanmar's coastline is 1384 miles long, with nine major ports distributed along the line, of which Yangon port is the largest, carrying 90% of Myanmar's international waterway transport services.

A person in charge of the Myanmar Port Authority said that before the current government took office, there were only 32 international standard berths in Yangon port. After the current government took office, in order to promote the development of waterway transportation, international berths were constantly added to improve the service scale. The nine additional international berths in the past four years are planned and constructed by the current government.

According to the Ministry of transport and communications, in the past four years, the container flow of Yangon port has reached more than 5 million and the cargo flow has reached more than 74 million tons.
